2. Our Services

2.1 Search A Vet is only a facilitator connecting pet parents and veterinarians to provide online vet consultation services. Search A Vet acts on the vet's behalf when a pet owner books a veterinarian using our portal.

2.2 It’s important to note that Search A Vet is not responsible for telemedicine, prescriptions, or advice the veterinarian provides using our platform. The veterinarians associated with Search A Vet are neither our employees nor agents.

2.3 Our portal only acts as a bridge to connect both pet parents and veterinarians. When a pet owner books our online veterinarian consultation, Search A Vet is the agent on behalf of the veterinarians who joined us. Any consultations, recommendations, or medicines prescribed are solely the responsibility of their respective veterinarians. 

2.4 While Search A Vet strives to ensure the quality and reliability of the services provided, we Do Not guarantee the accuracy or efficiency of the consultations, telemedicine, or recommendations. Pet owners can use their own judgment and seek any second opinion - If Necessary. 

2.5 By using Search A Vet, pet owners agree to and acknowledge our relationship with veterinarians. We are committed to providing effortless online veterinarian consultation services and prioritizing pet well-being. 

3. Your Account and Security

3.1 To get started with us, you need to sign up or register with an “account” providing certain “account information.” We have the right not to register your service account - for any reason. 

3.2 You warrant that any information you provide us is accurate and complete. Your account information should always be up-to-date and authentic.

3.3 When registering with us, you need to set login details like username, email, and password. Only you’re responsible for keeping these login details strong and secure. That’s why you don’t share your login details or account access with anyone. 

3.4 If you notice any login attempt or security breach, notify us immediately. If you think your account’s security has been compromised, you can change your password.

3.5 Search A Vet is not liable for any refund, loss, or damage responsibility, but you are. This may include any pending transactions or charges. These issues can occur 

(i) If you fail to abide by our terms and policies.

(ii) If any unidentified login breach has access to your account. 

4. Client Fees

4.1 When booking a veterinarian consultation by Search A Vet, you’ll be paying two types of fees.

i. The Veterinarian Fees - set by himself per session. 

ii. Search A Vet Service Fees - to facilitate the appointment between vet and pet owner, we deduct a fixed percentage for technical and customer support, platform utilization, and maintenance. 

4.2 The veterinarians themselves set the consultation fees when booking an appointment. And we have nothing to do, whether it’s costly or cheap. Their fees are subject to change at any time without users being notified beforehand.

4.3 Any payments made to Search A Vet are only because of our role as a common ground for both parties, i.e., pet parents and veterinarian. We are authorized to accept payment on vets’ behalf to meet our service fees obligation and pay their fees to them. 

5. Cancellation and Refund

5.1 The Vet consultation services are ‘non-refundable.’ However, clients who may cancel their appointments before One Hour - get a Full Refund.

6. General Payment Terms 

6.1 The clients are obliged to pay the consultation fees and any tax - if applicable.

6.2 We accept payments using credit card methods. There can be other gateways available at Search A Vet with time.

6.3 Your bank may apply any currency exchange rate on your transactions - in case. If you have any concerns regarding that, you can get more information from your bank.

7. Third-Party Links

7.1 If there are any attached links to other sites or resources, they are for information purposes only. And we don’t have any control or authorization over those sites’ content. We don’t endorse or condemn any services or goods they provide. Thus, consider them for use at your own risk. 

7.2 Search A Vet is not responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage, misleading content, or loss caused or alleged to be caused by any third-party links or websites. Therefore, we advise you to read the terms and conditions and privacy policies of any third-party websites you visit. 

8. Termination or Suspension of Accounts

8.1 You can terminate your account of services by a 30-day notice period policy. You’ll have to notify us beforehand so we can proceed with your cancellation request. After the termination, you’ll not be able to access your account or be a part of our services.

8.2 Search A Vet reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account – without prior notice or liability. Upon termination, your right to use or provide our services will immediately cease. We can suspend or terminate your account for these reasons, including but not limited to:

If you breach these terms and conditions.

If your account or services are involved in any illegal or fraudulent manner.

If you behave aggressively or use abusive or hate speech.

Or for any lawful reason.

8.3 If we terminate your account for any reason, you’re not allowed to register another one. In such case, we’ll not facilitate or serve you, and all rights or licenses granted to you will be canceled.

9. No Warranties 

9.1 Search A Vet provides you with this website, our services, and our mobile app, all for a commercially reasonable level. Besides these terms and conditions, we Do Not provide any warranties – on the Site or Services.

9.2 We provide our services on an “as is” or “as available” basis. 

9.3 We do not warrant that the content or services available right now will stay uninterrupted, unchanged, timely, and error-free.

9.4 We do not warrant that the results that may be obtained from the use of the service will be accurate or reliable.

9.5 We do not guarantee our site is free from risks, bugs, or viruses. When using our site or app, you do consider the associated risks, viruses, or any other destructive items. 

10. Liability 

10.1 Search A Vet shall not be liable in case we fail to comply with these terms. We are not responsible for any loss or damage suffered by users. Except in cases where such loss or damage is the foreseeable result of our breach of these terms. However, we shall not be responsible for any unforeseeable loss or damage incurred by users.

10.2 Our liability is not excluded in case of any injury or death due to our negligence or any fraudulent activity - under the applicable law of the United States. However, we are not liable for any damage, loss, death, or injury caused by any veterinarians associated with us.

10.3 In no event shall Search A Vet or its affiliates, directors, employees, agents, or service providers be liable for any loss or damage. Whether in contract, tort (including negligence), or breach of legitimate duty. Or otherwise, arising out of or in connection with the use of our services. 

10.4 This includes but is not limited to:

Loss of Profits or Sales 

Loss of Business Revenue

Any Business Interruption

Loss of Goodwill Reputation

Loss of Any Anticipated Savings

Loss of Any Business Opportunity, 

Any Damage or Corruption of Data.

10.5 We shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss or damage for any transactions, services, advice, injury, death, or misinformation. Whether it’s provided by any veterinary professional or so-called veterinary professional using our services. Or any third-party transactions, products, or services.

10.6 We shall not be responsible for any delayed or failed performance of our services.

10.7 Search A Vet shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of data, loss of business opportunities, or any other intangible losses arising out of or in connection with the use or inability to use our services, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. This limitation of liability applies whether the damages arise under breach of contract, tort (including negligence), or any other theory of liability. 

11. Disputes

11.1 We encourage our users to contact us in case of any complaints or disputes that need to be resolved. 

11.2 Search A Vet is not obligated to intervene in disputes between users themselves or between users and third parties.

11.3 Users, including pet owners and vets, acknowledge and agree that any disputes must be addressed according to the applicable laws and regulations governing their relationship with Search A Vet.

11.4 Business entities, including hospitals, clinics, or veterinary professionals, also acknowledge and agree that any disputes must be resolved in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations governing their relationship with Search A Vet.

12. Additional Terms for Vets

12.1 Vets using our platform are responsible for ensuring compliance with any requirements, limitations, or restrictions applicable to their veterinary licenses. 

12.2 We do not assume responsibility for interpreting local legislation governing veterinary practice. However, we reserve the right to cooperate with law enforcement authorities in investigating any instances of non-compliance.

12.3 As a vet using our platform, you must meet certain criteria, including

Holding valid legal certifications, permits, and licenses. 

Not being subject to any outstanding investigations for the past three years. 

Your telehealth services must comply with all relevant laws and professional standards. 

You are solely responsible for ensuring compliance with all requirements applicable to your veterinary practice.

12.4 You are required to submit your veterinary license information and clinic details for verification purposes.

12.5 We expect you to promptly respond to any consultation services or booking requests within 24 hours of receiving the request.

12.6 You are obligated to inform us immediately if your license, qualifications, permits, certifications, or any other relevant credentials are suspended or become invalid.

12.7 By providing us with your photograph, you retain all intellectual property rights, including copyrights.  It means you’re the owner granting us the right to use and display your photograph - as needed- on our site in an appropriate manner.
