I grew up in the northern panhandle of West Virginia. Upon graduating high school, I enlisted in the US Navy, where I was a Navy Deep Sea Diver. Upon serving my enlistment, I attended Mississippi State University, where I earned a BS in Wildlife and Fisheries Science and a MS in Wildlife Ecology.
