Dr. Joann Kunz grew up in Minnesota and worked as a veterinary technician for several years prior to attending veterinary school. She graduated from Ross University in 2005 after completing her clinical year at the University of Missouri. She was invited on as a clinical instructor at Mizzou immediately after graduating.
