Dr. Klaus grew up in Edmonton, Alberta and graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan, Canada in 2004. Dr. Klaus then pursued an internship and subsequent Emergency and Critical Care residency at Lakeshore Veterinary Specialists (formerly the Animal Emergency Center) in Milwaukee, WI under Dr. Becky Kirby, creator of the rule of 20.
