From an early age, growing up in Amityville, New York, my parents instilled in me a love for animals as well as a strong work ethic. Veterinary school was inevitable, as I was certain my dream job would combine my interests in both medicine and animals. Since receiving my degree in veterinary medicine from Cornell University in 1981.
