Dr. Balas has dedicated his career to the care of animals. He graduated with highest honors and honed his skills further during a small animal medicine and surgery internship at the Veterinary Specialty Center of Seattle. Before pursuing veterinary school, he worked with Guiding Eyes for the Blind, a non-profit organization that trains service dogs for the visually impaired and children with autism.
